Tomato Bread

Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick

2/3 cup milk

Chopped onion

3/4 cup sour cream

1/3 cup mayonnaise

4 ounces cheddar and mozzarella

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon oregano

3 or 4 peeled ripe tomatoes

Paprika

Directions

Mix Bisquick and milk and press into a pie pan or casserole dish.

Sauté onion in 2 tbsp. butter. Add sour cream and mix with 1/3 c. mayonnaise, cheeses, salt, pepper, and oregano.

Slice or dice tomatoes and place them over crust. Spread sour cream mixture over the tomatoes and sprinkle with paprika.

Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Mickey notes that she prefers substituting a deep-dish pie crust for the Bisquick crust because it’s easier. Just delete the Bisquick and milk and put the mixture into the pie crust.
