<p>Terra says, “Dad has made these for years for his kids and grandkids. They are so easy that I taught my kids to make them when they were about 10 or 12. They are also really good if you add small pieces of fresh, chopped strawberries to the batter, or drop a few fresh or frozen blueberries on top of the batter just before closing the waffle iron.”</p>

<li>2 cups self-rising flour</li>
|
|
<li>3 eggs</li>
|
|
<li>1 1/2 cups buttermilk</li>
|
|
<li>1/3 cup oil</li>
|
|
</ul>

<h2>Directions</h2>

<ol>

|
<li>Preheat the waffle iron.</li>
|
|
<li>Mix the ingredients just until blended.</li>
|
|
<li>Pour about half the batter into a large waffle iron. (Less if your iron is smaller, obviously)</li>
|
|
<li>Cook until done, about 7 minutes.</li>
