<h1>Foff's Popcorn Balls</h1>
<p>Foff made these every Halloween and gave them out to kids in the family on Halloween night. They were delicious! She did this as long as she was able, even after your mom and aunts and I were grown. You probably had one yourself when you were small. These popcorn balls are probably my favorite Halloween memory from when I was a kid!</p>
<h2>Ingredients</h2>
<ul>
<li>4 cups unbuttered popped corn</li>
<li>1 cup dark Karo syrup</li>
<li>1/2 cup sugar</li>
<li>1 teaspoon cream of tartar</li>
<li>1 tablespoon butter</li>
<li>1/4 teaspoon baking soda</li>
</ul>
<h2>Directions</h2>
<ol>
<li>Stir the sugar, syrup, and cream of tartar in a saucepan over medium heat until it boils hard.</li>
<li>Remove from heat and allow to cool a little.</li>
<li>Add the baking soda and butter.</li>
<li>Beat until foamy.</li>
<li>Pour over popcorn.</li>
<li>Wet your hands with cold water and form into balls.</li>
